Mothers
A Forever Inimitable Safe Space
I read somewhere recently something about how no matter how much money you have, or how established or successful you are, there's one feeling in the world that one just cannot recreate!
~The feeling of a 4 or 5 something old kid being safe, guarded, happy and unbothered by the worldly affairs. That feeling of safety and joy is inimitable.
The only time we come as close to this feeling as possible is when we become parents and we become that feeling for our kids.
That's how Nostalgia works too, we long for the decades gone by, the fashion, the food, the culture, the music, even the cities how they were in our growing years. Its not just these things we miss, its the reflection of ourselves, how we felt around these things in our growing years that we yearn for and keep chasing.
For many of us, most of us, no all of us, that feeling is our parents!
Our parents shape our lives, our homes, our personalities and us.

A mother shapes our home in ways that are rarely seen but always felt. In the way spaces flow. In the way things are placed, used, and remembered. Over time, these quiet decisions create a world that feels secure, warm, and deeply familiar.
And while this love asks for nothing in return, it stays with us. In how we understand care. In how we build our own spaces. In how we begin to recognise the effort behind what once felt effortless.
Their habits become our ways of living. Their instructions become our guiding light. We subconsciously try to become the adults our parents were. We become them!
There, I said it!
Most of us recognise the moment we became our mothers, in the ways we drape a saree, or recreate a favorite recipe of hers, or the way we host, or do our homes even nurture our children. In a way we are living their lives and ours simultaneously, while treading a path of our own.

This is why Mother’s Day celebration ideas often feel incomplete when limited to a single day. Because what we are trying to honour is not a moment, but a lifetime of care, love and our safe space.
At a certain point in life comes a time when the roles are reversed, we become the care givers and a safe space for them. It is then one understands the true joy of giving, caring and not asking for in return.
To honour Mothers everyday and not just on D day, we have recommended a few
meaningful gift options. Gifts that reflect thought, intention, and a sense of home. Not just things to give, but things that belong. Handmade gifts for mom, created with care and rooted in craft, carry a certain warmth that feels closer to her world.
